The exclusive elite playground was once again full of life last Sunday, May 7, 2012 as the much anticipated Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala Night was held. There was so much expectation from the guest list. A lot of Hollywood A-listers were spotted and a lot of press people waited on the red carpet to see what these icons have to offer. The famous line of “who are you wearing” was heard numerous time.
The Met Gala was said to be the “Oscar’s of East” and a celebration of the fashion industry’s finest. All attendees were dressed to impress and there’s no room for ordinary wardrobes. As the famous A-listers walk the red carpet, they must be shimmering in splendid outfits, fashion adornments, and killer shoes. Attending an event with a pricey ticket means being at your grandest.
Since this is a highly anticipated event, critics rolled on their red carpet eagle eye and spotted who are the best and worst dressed. Although, there have always been debate on this list, the critics continue to shout out their honor roll and troubled attendees no holds barred. Without further ado, I give my list of the best dressed Met Gala attendees.

Jessica Alba was wearing a Michael Kors creation of pleated, one-shoulder, metallic gown. The mom of two completed her look with a chunky bracelet, stunning earrings and a clutch.

Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf, Leighton Meester was a bronze goddess in a gold Marchesa dress with lace bodice and poufy tulle skirt. Her look was completed by a nice gold bracelet and a clutch.

The angel went down from heaven. Amy Adams wore a couture one-shouldered cream gown from Giambattista Valli. The dress was accented with a gold bow belt, Fred Leighton jewels, Brian Atwood shoes and a Judith Leiber bag.

Dianna Agron, a Glee actress stunned the night in an emerald green Carolina Herrera gown in a low-cut neckline. The actress completed her look with a mint colored belt and a Judith Leiber gold clutch.

Rooney Mara, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star showed off some serious skin in her one-shouldered, lacey, black Givenchy gown. The gown was sheer from the star’s upper thighs down. The 27-year-old actress’ accessory was her flawless skin and finished her look with a neat bun.

The American singer, songwriter and actress, Katharine McPhee was an eye-candy on her bright orange, figure-hugging, beaded gown by Ellie Saab. She wore just right embellishments of a chunky orange bracelet, gold earrings and a cocktail ring plus a clutch.

Another Gossip Girl star joined the list as Chace Crawford looked charmingly handsome in his black suite and tie.

Vixen Nina Dobrev of Vampire Diaries throw on a dramatic black and gold Donna Karan creation and finished with a mature-looking updo.

Yes, another Glee star joined the Gala. Darren Criss was all smiles as he arrived in the red carpet with his elegant tux.

Camilla Belle graced the night with her plunging Ralph Lauren gown, antique earrings and a chic side bun. Her diamond bracelet and classic clutch completed her timeless bronze beauty.

Tim Tebow scored a touchdown as he arrives at the red carpet with a classic tux. This New York Jet star flashed his priceless green as ushers call his name.
These A-listers graced the night by their uncompromising sense of fashion and sophistication. The event was said to be a huge success because of the number of guests who attended the big Gala.
Now that these icons passed the fashion critic eagle eye, it’s your turn to give your remark and speak. You could also be a fashion icon in your own right and look like these celebrities by not spending the way these A-listers do. You were one of the critics of these icons and you have a remarkable fashion sense by knowing the do’s and don’ts of fashion.
This list was made in no particular order by Moda Critique, your online fashion magazine.

The recently concluded “The Metropolitan Costume Institute
Gala” took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Temple of Dendur
in honor for the late Alexander Mcqueen.
Here are some of the badly dressed artists on my opinion.
On the first spot, love her hate her, Twilight’s star
Kristen Stewart. I love her dress really, specially it’s a Balenciaga, I just
don’t like the way she carry it, plus on the photo she looks (out of words) I
don’t know where she is looking, and I don’t think that’s a smile she’s wearing
but a smirk. Sorry Twilight fans, as I’ve said this are all my own opinion.
Next, Easy A star Emma Stone, (I love her in that movie by
the way). Well she looks like a kid, but the dress is like a 3rd
grader designed it for her, or a dress for a third grader (not from me, I’ve read some comments). As for me
she’s too old for something like that, she’s so pretty to be caught wearing a
dress that seems she owned years ago, when she was still six.
Then there is Florence Welch of Florence and the Machines
wearing a Alexander McQueen. I just don’t like it for her, period.
Sarah Jessica Parker is caught wearing a, was that a table
cloth or a kitchen’s curtain? (Again not from me but from the comments I’ve
read), But, aw shocks the prints looks like our shower curtain.
Chloe Sevigny wear something that looks like cd’s combined
together to produce an over the top ugly dress, and the shoes are to die for, I
mean what the heck, turn it upside down and it will remind you of a microphone.
And she really did prepare, she even over sleep so there she go straight to the
party. (Comments are not from me although I really don’t like her style)
January Jones dress reminds me of Transformers bumble bee.
It was like at one point the dress will slip off and transform. And her
necklace is so off.
Anja Rubik wears an Anthony Vaccarello dress and the first
thing I noticed was her hip bones, it was strutting out, maybe I just don’t
like boney women, but oh well that her job, she is being paid to be a skeleton.
Lily Collins of Mirror
Mirror, too sweet for her age, for gods sake she 23 (not mine), she looks like
she still haven’t recovered from Snow White (again not mine but I do agree)
Well anyway, do you agree with my list? Did you enjoy
being a critic yourself? These fashion icons are not fashion icons if they
can’t dress well even with rags and carry themselves even better. I am also
sure that you, same as me loves mimicking them, looking up to them as our
models and surely most of us cant afford such expensive designer pieces so why
not try going on sale’s and night markets, wholesale women’s shoes, clothes,
jewelries and all celebrity inspired at affordable prices.
The Costume Institute Gala (or Costume Institute Ball), known as the Met Ball and nicknamed the "Oscars of the East Coast", is an annual ball that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. The red carpet evening is considered to be a sighting of the stars and other influential icons who were all dressed to impress the fashion world and the public.
The much anticipated event is hosted by Vogue which was regarded as the top annual social event in New York City. The ball starts in a red carpet followed by a cocktail hour and a formal dinner. This year, The Metropolitan Museum’s Gala is celebrated through the theme of Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada.
It’s every girls’ dream to walk into a red carpet with all those speed lights flashing, photographers taking a photo of their wardrobe, fashion jewelry, shoes, looking at their hairstyles and fashion sense in general. Also, walking in red carpets mean all fashion critique eyes are set on you so you better be dressed well or else you’ll be branded as lame dresser and you deserve to be enlisted in the long list of worse dressed people.

If you enjoyed looking at your favorite celebrity, music, sports, or fashion icon you would also enjoy the feel of their styles by mimicking their style for less. If you’re into jewelries, you can opt to take inexpensive jewelries that have a class of its own which will give you more precious pieces without losing sophistication. You could also have your dress maker follow the style of a celebrity wardrobe here. There are a lot of options and your imagination is the limit to the many possibilities of looking great and having the style of your favorite celebrity.
Every year, the world of entertainment always marks the date of the Academy Award and every bit of huge names in the celebrity world comes together to witness who shines best. Of course, we always want to see fashion and glam of these big stars specially the traditional Red Carpet walk. I mean – traditional so as expected, cameras and glitz are all for that moment and who wouldn’t be there to take their hour of the glamorous.
Pre-Oscars – you can see in their eyes how excited the stars must be the night before knowing they’re about to get fabulous in a red carpet dress or a tux that has been chosen, styled, tailored and trusted to turn them into a take or break high fashion star as they stroll across the red carpet.
As a fashion hunter myself – I’m especially meticulous on the soles (footwear fashion) and let me help who was you’re bet to be the best in sole fashion. Will we see and ankle boots or short boots in the Oscars – I hope so.
Here are the top picks from Oscars Academy Award 2012.

The London Fashion Week is one of the most anticipated fashion events in the city where fashion originated. The red carpet rolled out and voila, fashion experts and distinguished guests walked in it. The fashion critics are all set to see what’s going to be the next big thing in fashion and how designers executed their creation. Having said that, designers were all in fuzz to outlive the expectation of the crowd.
Since I am attending fashion week, I don’t want to get policed by fashion experts. So I did prepare well for this event. I don’t want to be ordinary; I want to be extraordinary so I wore leather jeans and jacket, had sheer leopard print sleeveless and put some leather wedge boots on. I know it is going to be a long night that is why I decided to keep my pumps in the shoe rack.
What is more important to me than looking at my best is being comfortable in what I wear. I don’t want to look gorgeous but feels uncomfortable. Just the thought of it bogs my mind. Fashion is not all about compromising comfort and that’s what I did. That is enough reason for me to wear wedge and look at my best.
What I love the most in this wedge boots is the hidden heels. It actually looked like some flat knee high boots. The height of the wedge is perfectly fine and didn’t give my sole discomfort. Now, I got the looks and the height I wanted to look slimmer and voluptuous. Thanks to the knee high wedge boots I stumble upon the internet, I made it hot on the red carpet.
If you are in search for quality and comfortable shoes that will make you look extraordinary, then wedge is your go to shoe style. If you could see women walking on the street, they sort of shifted to wedge because of its contemporary appeal and the uncompromising comfort it gives every girl. Wedge boots I must say, will be seen in the runway in the next years.
