Who says that boots are not for summers? There are many misconceptions in wearing boots and one of the most talked about misconception is, you can’t wear boots during summer. Now, the old rule was reversed because there is ankle boots. That boots was really designed to be even used during summer.
Since boots are really stylish, wearing it during summer is not quite possible not unless you want to be uncomfortable. We all know that leather adds extra heat even though it absorbs sweat. Now is the best time for travel. Our favorite season of the year is arriving in the coming days and I couldn’t be more excited than anybody else. I’ve done my homework in researching for travel spots and done my shopping for my summer escapades. I have completed all travel essentials and will be packing my bag soon and then leave on a jet plane. I know this escape is going to be different.
What will make this escape different from the previous ones I had? This time, it is going to be more special because I will be traveling with my college girl friends and their boyfriends and with my man. We will experience Greece in an adventurous, historic and romantic way.
What I did in preparation for this trip was the all so famous every summer, diet and exercise plus the now becoming famous, shopping for summer wear. It is given, that I have to trim down a bit to have a perfectly sculpted body to look and feel good in my bikini and one-piece swimsuit. I also have to prepare some clothes appropriate for the summer with some sexy dresses and nice pair of shoes plus nice jewelries for romantic dinner.
Since we will be going out of United States, I also have to prepare for my plane wardrobe. Of course, I have to look like a Goddess and be beautiful inside and out. I will wear a maxi dress, will put on some summery pearl jewelry that I bought in wholesale, and will be wearing my new platform ankle boots which was tribal inspired. That would be epic and I am excited about it!
You could be a Goddess in your own right. There is no stopping you from being one. Just be confident and playful in stating your fashion sense and be the smartest in looking for great buys. Do remember that you don’t have to spend a fortune in looking good. I have stated above ways to look good without overspending. Just open your eyes and let your imagination be the limit.

What I meant is that it’s not everything you see on fashion magazines like Vogue or Elle, or even in every fashion runway doesn’t necessarily apply to everyone. So today, I’m going intricate some styles fit for ankle boots and how to really wear it with style.
Wearing Ankle Boots with Leggings or Tights
I mentioned before that cropped leggings don't work well with ankle boots. Long leggings or tights however, look great -- assuming of course, that leggings look good on you in the first place. If they don't, pairing them with ankle boots isn't going to make the situation any better.
Wearing Short Skirts and Ankle Boots
This look is definitely a little more difficult to pull off, because a lot of women don't like their legs. But it works well because instead of showing no leg, you're showing a lot of leg -- the real trouble comes in when you only show a little leg. Look for skirts that are a couple of inches above the knee or shorter and skip anything that's too full, lest your outfit start to like a figure skating costume.

Whether they're flat or heeled, ankle boots and long skirts is a classic combination. So, what happens is the boots making the thicker part of the calves (the part just above the top of the boots) look even thicker -- and shorter.

I was invited by my Aunt and Uncle who were both Hollywood insiders to attend The Hunger Games premiere in Los Angeles last March 12, 2012. It was the first red carpet premiere I’ve attended; thanks to my relatives I get to rub elbows with celebrities. I was so excited about this premiere and can’t wait to see the movie adaptation of this popular novel.
I can’t hide my excitement and since this is my first time, I made sure that I wear something special where I won’t be overdressed for a premiere screening. Here’s what I wore that night: I got blazing hot red blazer partnered with light yellow sexy fit tee for my top wear. I had white skinny, low rise jeans and matched it with red wedge boots. I decided to wear wedge boots in the premiere to be comfortable in the event. Another reason was that thinking my toes would be very stressed at the after party because of the shoes I’ll be wearing is enough reason to wear wedge. Lastly, I topped my get-up with fashion glasses (clear lens wayfarer) to look sexy and studious.
These are just simple but special pieces I wore during the screening. I can’t wait to show you what I wore during the after party.
At the after party, I really can’t believe what I am seeing and experiencing. More celebrities attended the after party and more movie press people were there, as well. I know that after parties are more exciting because this is the time where celebrities and Hollywood people socialize more than the screening per se. This means, I had the chance to mingle with celebrities and press people more.
Since this is an after party; loud music, dimmer lights, cocktail drinks, cigarettes and never ending poses are expected to occur. I want to look stunning in this event that’s why I decided to wear this one shoulder blue cocktail dress and wore black pumps. Wearing this black pumps is the main reason why I wore wedge boots during the screening. I know I will be killing my toes in this event.

In attending this kind of events, certain essentials must be remembered. One is don’t overdress and upstage the stars and second, look at your best and daze everyone without looking like you’re trying too hard.
What’s in for Fall Collection 2012?
Every season, the bankable production headed by the Goddess of Models and high-end fashion brings a much enticing and fashion-loving adventure of aspiring beauties to become the America’s next top model. This season is something I always been waiting for since I love to see ANTM’s new twists – the smashing and clashing of proud and aspiring models from both fashion capitals which is UK and of course Great Apple.
Yup, The British are coming...and they bring the drama! This ANTM Cycle 18 is indeed a big deal for us fashionistas to watch. One thing was missing from the latest season premiere of Top Model. No, Tyra was there. Famous Photographer, our Nigel and Mr. Jay is there too - All the contestants and with all the typical ridiculousness that we've all come to love from the show. If all of this was there and accounted for, what exactly was absent?
The all hail Credits.
Yes, we had our bi-annual introduction to a gaggle of aspiring models without the aid of opening credits, but don't worry, you guys. Tyra's got us covered. The mistress of the Top Model dungeon uploaded the credits to her Youtube account a couple of days early to give us a little treat before the next episode airs.
They're in the same style as last cycle, very punk-futuristic and guitar-heavy, but it's a handy way to familiarize with the girls that may not have popped in the premiere. With 14 girls to get through, you don't get great looks at, really, anybody, but if you had trouble matching a face to a name, it's a good summary.
You'll also notice the country-themed lipstick in the credits that the girls had on during panel and the cycle's individual photos. And of course, poor, poor Jasmia, cut down before she could even get a moment of shine in the opening sequence.
And of course, we won’t forget what I’m blogging this for – ankle boots! As I for seen that this season is for black and dark look lace up ankle boots and that means a great deal for us that ankle booties has never been off the charts.
