Who says that boots are not for summers? There are many misconceptions in wearing boots and one of the most talked about misconception is, you can’t wear boots during summer. Now, the old rule was reversed because there is ankle boots. That boots was really designed to be even used during summer.
Since boots are really stylish, wearing it during summer is not quite possible not unless you want to be uncomfortable. We all know that leather adds extra heat even though it absorbs sweat. Can you just imagine the odd feeling? But now that there is ankle boots, you can be really stylish without compromising comfort. Staying fresh and stylish can be achieved easily by resorting to fashion items that are total eye-candy.

It’s June and while some countries are still experiencing the summer heat, here in some part of Asia where I am currently based is raining real hard, in fact there is a typhoon and as I was writing this article, the rain is pouring outside and I can see my window getting opaque as the raindrops keeps on flowing.
Then I wonder why the hell did I wear my ballet flats for work? Surely if the rain continues until after office hours the roads will be all wet and I would need to walk from the office to the bus stops, meaning my ballet flats will be wet and dirty, and my feet will be soaked in wet shoes for an hour or two until I reach home. I should have worn my wedge boots.

Now is the best time for travel. Our favorite season of the year is arriving in the coming days and I couldn’t be more excited than anybody else. I’ve done my homework in researching for travel spots and done my shopping for my summer escapades. I have completed all travel essentials and will be packing my bag soon and then leave on a jet plane. I know this escape is going to be different.
What will make this escape different from the previous ones I had? This time, it is going to be more special because I will be traveling with my college girl friends and their boyfriends and with my man. We will experience Greece in an adventurous, historic and romantic way.
What I did in preparation for this trip was the all so famous every summer, diet and exercise plus the now becoming famous, shopping for summer wear. It is given, that I have to trim down a bit to have a perfectly sculpted body to look and feel good in my bikini and one-piece swimsuit. I also have to prepare some clothes appropriate for the summer with some sexy dresses and nice pair of shoes plus nice jewelries for romantic dinner.
Since we will be going out of United States, I also have to prepare for my plane wardrobe. Of course, I have to look like a Goddess and be beautiful inside and out. I will wear a maxi dress, will put on some summery pearl jewelry that I bought in wholesale, and will be wearing my new platform ankle boots which was tribal inspired. That would be epic and I am excited about it!
You could be a Goddess in your own right. There is no stopping you from being one. Just be confident and playful in stating your fashion sense and be the smartest in looking for great buys. Summer is almost here. I am counting days for its arrival and been thinking of what should I be having. The Met Gala was said to be the “Oscar’s of East” and a celebration of the fashion industry’s finest. All attendees were dressed to impress and there’s no room for ordinary wardrobes. As the famous A-listers walk the red carpet, they must be shimmering in splendid outfits, fashion adornments, and killer shoes. Attending an event with a pricey ticket means being at your grandest.
Since this is a highly anticipated event, critics rolled on their red carpet eagle eye and spotted who are the best and worst dressed. Although, there have always been debate on this list, the critics continue to shout out their honor roll and troubled attendees no holds barred. Without further ado, I give my list of the best dressed Met Gala attendees.
Jessica Alba was wearing a Michael Kors creation of pleated, one-shoulder, metallic gown. The mom of two completed her look with a chunky bracelet, stunning earrings and a clutch.
Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf, Leighton Meester was a bronze goddess in a gold Marchesa dress with lace bodice and poufy tulle skirt. Her look was completed by a nice gold bracelet and a clutch.

Rooney Mara, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star showed off some serious skin in her one-shouldered, lacey, black Givenchy gown. The gown was sheer from the star’s upper thighs down. The 27-year-old actress’ accessory was her flawless skin and finished her look with a neat bun.
The American singer, songwriter and actress, Katharine McPhee was an eye-candy on her bright orange, figure-hugging, beaded gown by Ellie Saab. She wore just right embellishments of a chunky orange bracelet, gold earrings and a cocktail ring plus a clutch.

These A-listers graced the night by their uncompromising sense of fashion and sophistication. The event was said to be a huge success because of the number of guests who attended the big Gala.

The heat is on at the Coachella Music and Art Festival. No one can hide their excitement as soon as they spotted their favorite celebrity. Who would have thought that Elijah Wood spins, I can’t imagine that Katy Perry will be next to me, and I am still on a high seeing Coldplay perform live. I still can’t get the hang of it. It was riot and all my friends and I did was just get high, party hard and spot celebrities and music icons.
Apart from spotting celebs and icons, I also did some fashion policing (my favorite past time especially when I am surrounded by beautiful people). Actually, I did this on purpose, to watch the trend and wear it myself. What I did notice on the three-day event was a lot of women are into wedge boots, sheer fabric, animal prints, nautical prints, denim shorts, and don’t forget that beautiful sunglasses.

Don’t you find attending this kind of events fun and exciting? They make you feel that you can be whoever you want to be and it leaves you an impression of don’t be afraid to express yourself. Just get high and don’t mind the people around, learn to take life lightly and just enjoy. Now, that’s a good booze to balance everything in your life.

Thinking four? Wedge boots can adjust to practically all seasons. So winter, spring, summer, or fall will never be an issue for certain styles and materials are made to adhere to any given season. So, what happens is the boots making the thicker part of the calves (the part just above the top of the boots) look even thicker -- and shorter.

Some may take this as a joke, but this is serious. We might be using an item or two or have bought something that can be dangerous to our health.

On our fifth spot, accessories containing nickel. And now the third spot, beware of using Big and Heavy Bags. While tote bags can be fashionably addicting and not to mention very handy and can accommodate almost all items on your cabinet, it is not wise to carry heavy bags, especially if you are putting all the work on one shoulder. According to “The American Chiropractic Association” girls/women should carry a total not exceeding to 10% of their original body weight or they might suffer from back misalignment.
On the second spot, flip flops. I know what you are thinking, summer is coming, beach, summer dress, and bikini and yes, those cute printed flip flops. But wait before you go shopping at a wholesale womans shoessection, read this first.
According to the American Podiatric Medical Association, wearing flip flops can be much more worst than those who wears sky high heels as it can cause a long term ankle and hip problems. How? Notice your toes while walking wearing a flip flop, what did you find out? You are clenching your toes in order to keep the flops on your feet, if you walk say for an hour or so wearing flops you’ll feel foot fatigue, sore calf muscles and yes an altered gait.
Talking about high heels, it’s on our first spot. According to researchers heels higher than two inches "are associated to bunions, hammer toes, stress fractures and ankle sprains." Every season, the bankable production headed by the Goddess of Models and high-end fashion brings a much enticing and fashion-loving adventure of aspiring beauties to become the America’s next top model. This season is something I always been waiting for since I love to see ANTM’s new twists – the smashing and clashing of proud and aspiring models from both fashion capitals which is UK and of course Great Apple.
Yup, The British are coming...and they bring the drama! This ANTM Cycle 18 is indeed a big deal for us fashionistas to watch. One thing was missing from the latest season premiere of Top Model. No, Tyra was there. Famous Photographer, our Nigel and Mr. Jay is there too - All the contestants and with all the typical ridiculousness that we've all come to love from the show. If all of this was there and accounted for, what exactly was absent?
The all hail Credits.
Yes, we had our bi-annual introduction to a gaggle of aspiring models without the aid of opening credits, but don't worry, you guys. Tyra's got us covered. The mistress of the Top Model dungeon uploaded the credits to her Youtube account a couple of days early to give us a little treat before the next episode airs.
They're in the same style as last cycle, very punk-futuristic and guitar-heavy, but it's a handy way to familiarize with the girls that may not have popped in the premiere. With 14 girls to get through, you don't get great looks at, really, anybody, but if you had trouble matching a face to a name, it's a good summary.
You'll also notice the country-themed lipstick in the credits that the girls had on during panel and the cycle's individual photos. And of course, poor, poor Jasmia, cut down before she could even get a moment of shine in the opening sequence.
